Employers’ Liability Tracing Office (ELTO)
In February 2010, the Department of Work and Pensions launched a public consultation on Employers' Liability (EL) insurance. They called for a central database of EL policies to be established to make it easier for injured claimants to gain access to compensation.
In response to this, the insurance industry has established an Employers' Liability Tracing Office (ELTO) which is now consulting with the government, the FSA and other key stakeholders on its structure and governance.
